FURBALL Facts

What is FurBall?

FurBall is the annual fundraising event for Bend Spay+Neuter Clinicproviding funding for affordable, preventative veterinary care so companion animals are not abandoned or relinquished due to financial constraints.

When is FurBall?

Friday, August 23th, 2019. 5:30 – 8:30 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship61980 Skyline Ranch Road in Bend.

What is happening at the event?

On Friday, August 23rd 2019, the Humane Society of Central Oregon and Bend Spay+Neuter Clinic will host our annual FurBall fundraiser.  The event will feature a fabulous silent auction, delicious Cascade Lakes Brewery beers, wine from Elixir Wine Groupand creative bites by Bleu Bite Catering.   And of course our famed animal costume contest on the Costume Catwalk. 

Cat-egories include:

  • Best Pet Costume - - (Where the pet is the star, no owner themed dress)
  • Best Owner & Pet Costume Combo
  • Best Trick

Awards include a year’s worth of bragging rights, their photo posted on both Bend Spay Neuter & Humane Society of Central Oregon websites, and a Bend Pet Express special prize.

Rules

  • Each pair has up to 3 minutes of time to parade the catwalk
  • Tricks are encouraged!
  • All pets less than 150 lbs. are eligible for the costume contest
  • Costumes will be judged on creativity, originality, resourcefulness, composition and acceptable standards of costume design.
  • Judges’ decisions are final

We hope you will join us as we raise much needed funds to help us keep pets and people together.  Get your tickets early.  Top Dog tickets are available for those who want to provide additional support for these important programs. 

How can I get tickets?

Tickets are available now! Click here for current ticket purchases. General Admission and Top Dog Seats are on sale now through Friday August 23rd.

I already purchased my tickets, will physical tickets be sent to me?

No physical tickets are required.  All guests will need to check-in when they arrive.  There they will receive their event program and will be directed to the refreshments and silent auction.  General Admission seating in the sanctuary is not assigned, but there are reserved seats for Sponsors and valued Top Dog seating for an additional price.  MAP

What time can I arrive at the event?

Guests can arrive beginning at 5:30 PM with the Costumed Catwalk event beginning at 6:30 PM

Where do I park?

Guests can utilize the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship parking lot at61980 Skyline Ranch Road, but space is limited so consider carpooling.  Once the fellowship lot is full parking will be available atRuffwear’s parking lot across the street at 2843 NW Lolo Drive.

What should I wear to the event?

Dress is casual. 

Are kids allowed at FurBall?
Due to the nature of the event kids are not encouraged.  We do not offer a kids ticket price.

What type of food will be served?  Should I eat dinner before I arrive?

Bleu Bite Catering will be serving heavy appetizers throughout the event, and there will be a dessert table fundraiser.  These should definitely keep you sated during the course of the event, but do not represent the equivalent of a full meal. 

What is going to be in the auction at the event?

FurBall will feature more than 30 packages of unique and special items in our silent auction.  All of the auction items are donated and proceeds from the sale of the art will benefit Bend Spay+Neuter Clinic.

What types of payment will be accepted at the event?

We will accept payment for tickets and auction items in the form of Cash, Check or Credit/Debit card.

What do the proceeds from the event go to?

All proceeds from FurBall go to provide funding for affordable, preventative veterinary care so companion animals are not abandoned or relinquished due to financial constraints

Our emcee will be local favorite Sam Albert, our 101.7 wonderful DJ

What if I bought a ticket and I cannot go?

Tickets are non-refundable.  You can rest assured that your ticket money is going to a great cause.

Furball will provide funding for affordable, preventative veterinary care for cats and dogs at risk of suffering in order to create a more humane community.  This funding will assist  programs like the HOPE Pet Food Bank, Wellness Clinics, and assistance with spay/neuter, BSNP does everything we can to keep pets in their homes!
